Congratulations to 2017 Mom 'N' I Publishing/American Advertising Federation Tuscaloosa (AAFT) Diversity Scholarship winner De'Ja Stevens (center). De'Ja is an honor student at Stillman College, where she serves as Student Government Association Vice President of External Affairs.

Aneesa Sood, a White House Initiative HBCU All Star, has presented workshops on academic success to students in Texas, Tennessee, Alabama and Lousiana. Aneesa, who graduated summa cum laude from Tuskegee University, knows the importance of time management, good study habits and other factors that influence success. Aneesa plans to become a dentist, and she is now in her first year of dental school at the University of Alabama Birmingham. She is a recipient of the National Health Service Corps Scholarship.
Mary Sood is a public relations consultant with over 20 years experience in her field. She has served as the editor of diverse corporate, nonprofit and college publications, and edited Freshman Fifteen. She has also presented workshops on customer service and workplace success to healthcare providers and others. Mary serves on the boards of the Public Relations Council of Alabama’s West Alabama Chapter and the American Advertising Federation Tuscaloosa. She is a member of the Southern Public Relations Federation.
